Description
The sequel of DECO Cassette:
Boulder Dash. The player
controls a digger who has to collect a certain number of diamonds
in
level while avoiding creatures like flies, spiders, ice monsters,
butterflies, turtles, and more. The player can also kill most of
the creatures (except the turtle) to get diamonds. There are
smooth rocks that if rolled off a ledge will turn into gems that
give
the player 1000 points. There are also oil & flame shooters
that can be turned on by the player that cause explosions when
the oil drops make contact with the flames. In certain levels,
there are many boulders that can cause an avalanche that will
kill many enemies, but can also cause the player to lose a life.
Some of these are a result of ameba that eventually turn into
boulders which fall through gaps. When a butterfly touches an
ameba, it will turn into several diamonds, and if there are other
butterflies underneath it that get crushed by the diamonds that
fall, they will each turn into a set of diamonds & cause a
chain
reaction. There are earthworms that turn boulders into diamonds
& special walls that falling boulders can pass through and
turn into diamonds. The player must first drop a boulder on it so
that it turns purple and has the ability to transform boulders
into diamonds. When dropping a boulder on an enemy the player
must be careful not to stay too close since the creature
explodes and will destroy everything that is in the smoke region.
Some enemies shoot things, like the breath of the ice
monster or the spider's web. The breath of the ice creature
freezes the player for a short time, but doesn't cost a life
unless
the creature touches the player. The spider's web paralyzes the
player for a short time. There are also bonus stages in this
game.
